The words of Jesus are spirit and life.
When we meditate on the word of God we move out of fresh and
enter the spiritual realm. The way we meditate more often the more we grow
spiritual. Just like the way babies are growing by breast feeding, and later by
eating food is the same way in the spiritual realm the word of Christ are food and life.
In Isaiah 55:1-3 the
word of God say “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have
no money, come buy and eat. Yes, come buy wine and milk without money and
without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for
what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and let
your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to me. Hear,
and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you- The
sure mercies of David”.
Also in John 6:63 Jesus spoke directly to the disciples that
“it is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I speak
to you are spirit, and they are life”. There for e through those two scripture
I keep encourage my fellow Christian to continue meditating the word of God
because it beneficial to recently life and in the eternal. Bear in mind that
the spiritual growth does not rely only on reading the word of God but also on
conformance.
